As you face the river, I’m
Tempted to jump in
Sink without swim
Heavy burden breasts
As we face the river
Contemplating in
Boundless thoughts a brim
Nature’s nurtured tests
As I face the river
Kindling cornered kin
Rapid thoughts within
Cease and I accept
As you face the river
Wetting toes with grace
Eyes on opening gate
Falling slow to rest

A thing of beauty, a gem, to say the least. However, metaphorically speaking, for me it is a kind of light that whispers, in a deafening manner of man’s indifference… And that’s not a gas!

Gosh, you are the best at reviewing my work JJ! I like how eloquent you are in terms of balancing the deeper meaning between hope and truth of humanity, no matter how dark it is, it is accepted (and often witty!). It reminds me of a thought I always think: where there is light there is darkness. (And VV of course). And this is life! 🙂 Thanks for visiting again. TLG 🙂
And where there is right, there is wrong, for how else would we know the difference!
But for what it’s worth, I only review, as in comment, on what I humbly believe is worthy, and would be lacking in not acknowledging the gift of its offer, and the composing of these anomalous, let alone extraordinary creations.
Thank you for this, Lady Literary Gangster… You are indeed a pleasure to read!
P.S.: Pardon my ignorance, but would you be so kind, as to please explain the meaning of “tracieglia” (which sounds so beautifully Italian) and its country of origin?
Oh I love the sound of Italian 🙂 And thank you, I shall now sign off as Lady Literary Gangster 🙂
Ha! Well, I lived in Indonesia for some time and the Balinese in particular started calling me gila, meaning crazy, but the good crazy, because of my excitement and gratefulness for, well, everything! Also, my name rhymes with crazy according to my Balinese friends. At the time, I was doing some soul searching and would often take long walks through Bali, sometimes up to 35km in the heat, but I found it the best way to take everything in, bit by bit, observing, feeling, becoming. So, this provided another layer to my nickname, Traciegila. I would love to visit Italy one day, and maybe take some long walks there too… 🙂
Yes it is indeed, Italia, a country in which to walk. Roma, or Toscanna our second home, which is in Montecattini Terme, a magnificent little historic city (like most everything else in Italia) very central to the beauty of places like Firenze, Luca, Pizza, Siena, Prato, Montalcino and so many many more that constitutes Toscanna. Read you there when next we are in Italia….
