I Am Lioness

I am lioness

Striding through life’s open fields

I prey ‘pon only

that which nourishes me; but,

Contentment is my demise.

You make me sad, seeing what man might have been, save for his gluttony and insatiable taste for greed. tho he does have a thing in comment with sister lioness… that of contentment being his demise, but for the level of it.
I shall make an effort, onward, to leave your golden nuggets to your audience’s own imaginings.
    I love your mind!

JJ! Thankyou for reading and loving my complete social allegory for what difficulties might occur when a pack of lioness’ fight and one ends up alone and at the risk of becoming prey to man, or worst or all, an enemy to one’s self! Alas, vulnerability pushes us to become stronger. And to connect more. Hope you are fighting fit in Italia town πŸ™‚

I love your haiku, and how you play with poetry forms in you other poems (esp the river poem). Beautiful.
